The planer operator course provides attendees with some fundamentals that anyone involved in operating a planer needs to know. SPIB instructors Jeff Judd, Area Manager and William Griffin, Lumber and Treating Specialist will lead the group in discussing how to troubleshoot planer defects for improved quality and grade. Several equipment vendors will participate to cover topics such as size control, finish and knife maintenance, proper feeding, alignment, and others.
