About the Canadian eLearning Course

The Basic Canadian Course covers No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 grades. You can add lessons for the Light Framing Grades of Construction, Standard, and Utility, as well as Select Structural and STUD grades. This Course is an ideal tool for preparation for Canadian lumber grading tickets. The extra lesson on Canadian Species and Species Groups Identification includes printable species ID pages for every species used for Dimension Lumber in Canada, - as well as a COFI supplied Species Characteristic Guide for species ID in the Western and Central Provinces. Select the version from the list below that includes the all the grades you are interested in. The appropriate knot tests and rule reviews that are unique to Canadian mills when producing Light Framing Grades combined with Select Structural and STUD grades will also be included.
