Certificate inspection services are available to subscribers and non-subscribers. The inspection is performed solely by SPIB staff who inspect the lumber for grade and then place a grade-mark or identification number on each piece. A certificate or letter is then issued describing the grade and tally of the lumber. An inspection should be scheduled ten or more working days in advance.
Schedule of Charges: Inspection charges are established on the basis of complexity and time required plus expenses. Travel expenses include all reasonable expenses such as transportation, meals, and hotel costs.
