Any manufacturer capable of producing Southern Pine glued lumber to conform to the SPIB Glued Lumber Procedures is eligible to be qualified and licensed to use the SPIB grade marks indicating those products meet the requirements of the SPIB procedures.The SPIB Glued Lumber Procedures may be applied to ALSC-approved species other than Southern Pine. If other ALSC approved species are used to produce glued lumber according to the Procedures, all requirements regarding Southern Pine shall apply to the alternate species. Grade marks identifying the appropriate species grouping for the species used in the glued lumber product are part of the label in addition to the heat resistance and vertical use limitations. Grade marks identify the appropriate species grouping as well as heat resistance vertical use limitations.
